Thumbs down Wheelchair Mayhem

After having my grandmother visit my family for a month or two I had booked her flight back to Miami Florida on flight AA-778 this past January 16, 2008 we had specified special wheelchair assistance throughout the whole departure/arival experience, as shown on her flight itinerary. All was going fine on the departure gate with assistant personnel taking care of my grandmother, but once the plane arrived to its destination there was no one to escort her out with wheelchair assistance, causing her to trip and fall on the fast lane runway. Luckily no real harm came to her, but the news was really unsettling which is why i would like to report a formal complaint to American Airlines and their policy on wheelchair assistance.
