We will never fly British Airways again. After requesting for wheel chair assistance when pre booking the flight 6 months back and confirming it twice before flying, they refused access to wheel chair for my Father-in-law. . He suffers from parkinsons and cannot walk more than 10 steps at a stretch. So on the return journey, we purchased a wheel chair for his use, and still the airlines said they do not have personnel to push the chair. The height was, the airhostess refused to help them with the carry on luggage. Thanks to the kind hearted co-passenger who helped them. They finally reached India with a lot of pain and my FIL literally in tears with the BA flight crew’s insensitive treatment.
Now I understand the true meaning when people wish “have a safe flight”. They are not talking about safe flight from terrorists but a safe flight from British Airways crew. |

This may have been a breach of the law...you need to give more specific details. BA are obligated however to provide assistance to passengers with disabilities. You don't say where this problem occurred...but if in the UK you can write to:

Thank you. It Happened in UK while transiting to USA when coming from India and while going back from USA, both times. The hand luggage situation also happened in UK from USA.

I hope you will follow up and complain. If they failed to offer assistance that was requested and which was a reasonable accommodation, they were in breach of the law. Unless you complain, BA will not be held to account.
