More animals die in the care of their owners than on airlines. So what's the point here besides gratuitous airline bashing?

The number of passengers carried by Delta and American is not that different, so we presume the number of animals would be broadly similar. However, the death rate of animals killed on Delta is over 300% higher. I don't think it is gratuitous bashing to point this out...not tat I am opposed to gratuitously bashing Delta.

cant just look at # of passengers flown, but also # of pets, condition of the pet before flight such as pre-existing health issues not brought up to airlines knowledge, among others

is it fair to have someone so biased against delta to be moderator?

been busy helping my sister and her soon to be 1month baby (5days) with a bunch of her bogus stuff with her bf who hasnt paid his rent and now has to go to court, has been suspended from his work again

Several of the pets had medical problems that were disclosed during check-in; other pets were found to have congenital defects, and a few had to be euthanized after self-inflicted injuries in their carriers. Age may have been a factor in some of the deaths, such as those of 17-year-old and 14-year-old cats, and the length of the trips may also have been an issue (13 out of the 19 deaths were on overseas flights).

If they can't fly them safely, don't fly them. AA flies overseas too.... and they managed to keep the slaughter rate down to 5.
