Yesterday, Aug 12th, I dropped off my daugter (who is a minor) at Dulles airport for her 4:08 flight to Atlanta. It's over a 2 hour drive for us, but we were confident that everything would be OK. However, the flight ended up being cancelled and the attendant working the Delta gate treated my daughter in the worst way. When my daughter approached the counter and asked what to do next, the attendant told her that it's not her (the attendant's ) problem and that she's (my underage daughter) on her own. What kind of service is that?!! My daughter was in tears and panicing when she called. Of course, at that point, I'm 2 hours away!!!! I called the Delta Customer Service line to attempt to work out an alternate flight, but of course, there was nothing they would do for us...other than book on another day. This was my daughter's first time flying alone and being treated this way is insane. I usually fly for work about 1-2 times per month. I personally will NEVER fly with this piece of sh!t airline again.
