who do they hire to work at these airlines??
This past weekend i went from Newark, NJ to Los Angeles for Halloween, I was carrying a single carry on and sitting in row 14 of the plane. Apparently Continental decided to let some people in the rear of the plane carry enough carry-on baggage to fill the entire plane (great job guys), and therefore by the time I got on the plane all of the overhead bins were full. I took it in stride figuring the additional 5 minutes it would take me to get out of the airport wasn’t a big deal.
In my bag was a Halloween costume, books, a digital camera and a watch; don’t forget this was my CARRY-ON. When I got to the apartment in LA I went to take out my camera to get ready for the night. I searched through my bag, no camera, no watch (but thanks continental for leaving my Halloween costume…).
When I got back to the Newark airport I was talking to the Woman working at the baggage claim about the issue, she was incredibly rude, and had absolutely no idea what she was doing, she didn’t even have a pen on her. (is continental THAT desperate for workers). Tonight I’m going to the Port authority to file a complaint.
I work at a consulting firm, and fly 8-12 times monthly (round trip = 2), it’s absolutely ridiculous that this is allowed to happen, needless to say I will not be flying continental anymore, nor will the members of my team. I really hope these people are caught and put (most likely, back) in jail, where they belong.
