Angry The Mommy Trap of DL3919's Cancellation

A canceled flight is bad enough....and Delta had an opportunity to make 2 customers very happy. But it's computer system is not designed for customer satisfaction!!!! One frequent traveler was assigned a seat on the next flight; another young mother on the same canceled flight, returning home to a 1 year old and 4 year old, was rebooked the following day. The frequent traveler wouldn't mind going back tomorrow; it would give her a chance to visit Mom and Dad overnight. She would gladly switch places with the young mother. But Delta's computer system will not allow it! So now you have two inconvenienced travelers who are trapped in the Delta reservation system....both suboptimized. Come on Delta...this is a computer program. Managers can dictate the rules of the software....no override allowed to make 2 customers happy rather than unhappy????? This change would have no financial impact on Delta. Nor would it inconvenience or disturb any other passengers or crew....
