Flight cancelled after checkin
What a horrible ordeal! April 19: checked our bags & were waiting at the gate for a flight that was supposedly cancelled the night before. The four of us were directed by 3 different delta employees & were never told our flight was cancelled. Nothing was posted on the flight directory either. We couldn't get on another flight that day & our cruise ship left without us. A supervisor informed us we could get a flight the next day to Ft. Lauderdale. Were we supposed to swim after our ship? Every employee we spoke with with the exception of 1 was very rude and unhelpful. We had to rebook and take a flight on April 21 to catch up with our ship. 2 days of our cruise lost. When we arrived at the airport on April 21 we were told since we only had an email & not a paper ticket we could not get on that flight. Only after requesting a supervisor were we assisted. A nightmare from start to finish! This was my first and last experience with delta. Save yourselves major headaches and fly another airline.
