I'm trying to understand BA fare rules around using BA tickets (outbound and return) in sequence.
Reason this is an issue is I had a outbound and return flight already booked with BA but because I flew a later flight that day, my existing return flight was cancelled. I was stranded and had to buy one way ticket home. The question is whether I pay the full fare or a fare difference. Also I called BA customer service and they agreed there might be an issue and asked me to send BA customer service an email but this has been ignored. It's not clear from BA website (see below) on how to interpret the rules "3c2) Your ticket is no longer valid if you do not use all the coupons in the sequence provided in the ticket. Where you change your travel without our agreement and the price for the resulting transportation you intend to undertake is greater than the price originally paid, you will be requested to pay the difference in price. Failure to pay the price applicable to your revised transportation will result in refusal of carriage." Do I pay full fare or a fare difference? Any help appreciated.. Thanks |
