the worst customer service experiance ever
I have three things to complain about the continental airlines.
first, I booked a round trip ticket on the airlines website in May 2011. I canceled the ticket with customer service in July 2011. the ticket fair, 1,600 dollars, was returned as credit. in Nov 2011, I re-booked the ticket with customer service. The new ticket was 600 dollars cheaper so the extra money was supposed to return to me in a gift-card format. I never received it.
second, to get the money back, I called the customer service several times without getting through. finally an agent called 'Teri' helped me. She said I didn't get my address updated. However I updated with the customer service when I rebooked the ticket. Teri said 'I don't care, it's your fault that you didn't get the money. I was unhappy with the attitude and told her she was too rude. then she hanged up on me. she hanged up. I've never been "helped" with by a customer service like this before, and I never heard of. it is intolerable.
third, the round trip ticket was from Philadelphia to Beijing. before the first trip, I checked in online and it showed that I could have two free check-in luggage. so I took two big luggage with me. everything went fine. but when I returned from Beijing and checked in at the airport, the agent told me i was only allowed one free check-in luggage. I was confused with their policy and showed her my check-in information of the first trip. the agent said she couldn't do anything. my luggage was too big to be a carry-on. so I had to pay 70 dollars. When I got back and wrote letter to their customer care. I tried to tell them that what they did totally messed up passenger's trip. a round-trip should be considered one trip. they shouldn't have inconsistent policies on one trip. no one responded to me, However.
I was totally shocked by how low the customer service at continental airlines can get to. I feel helpless because the customer service at continental airlines is definitely not helping the customer at all. I will definitely think twice if I have to travel with continental, and I will warn my family and friends too.
