My wife and I were going to Chicago for a wedding.
After buying the tickets we changed our plans, and decided to lengthen our stay. We went online and brought up both of our tickets to change our return flight. I selected a return date on my ticket and submitted my credit card info. When the page refreshed it showed her ticket info and not mine. Since I was trying to change mine but saw her ticket instead we both rechecked or flight itenerary. Niether itenerary showed a change. So we called United customer service. They made the changes and charged us. I checked my bank account and had been charged for the change that had not registered on either account. I registered for a refund with the help of United Customer service. They told me I would hear from someone in 72 hours. 80 hours later I called back because I had not been called. They told me to wait another day. I waited 2 more days and called back, and requested the status. The 1st agent I spoke with said I needed to wait 7 to 10 more days for the status. I said I whould know the status before that. Even if I had to wait for a refund. He trasnfered me to another agent. That agent went back and forth with me about whose ticket had been charged. I let him know that nither ticket registered a change and that I was charged 3 times for one change to each ticket. He put me on hold for about 15 minutes. After that he came back and said I should get my money back in about 10 business days. I have my fingers crossed. My total time working for my refund has been 3 hours and 5 diffrent agents. They try like hell not to give you what is rightfully the customers. I will probably forgo business with them in the future. Keeping my money for 3 weeks is garbage. I am sure they do the poor webpages intentionally to wrap up as much money as they can in limbo. Crooks, thievery and fraud are the terms that come to my mind. |
