Discrimination Against Women
RE: Carry-on baggage information
Airlines accept one carry-on item of no more than 45 linear inches or 114 linear centimeters in the aircraft cabin, along with one personal item (such as a shoulder or laptop bag).
I. I feel the baggage policy which states: of along with one personal item (such as a shoulder or laptop bag) is a discrimination against women.
1. As a women I need my laptop in a lap-top bag with wheels as a carry-on, because I do not have the muscles to carry it around.
2. Most women need a personal shoulder bag. It is historically public knowledge that most of the women population needs a personal handbag for hygienic reasons, (referred to as monthly menstruation), or bladder incontinence. The airlines can control the size if they want.
3. Most women need a Carry-on item in the aircraft cabin as a substituted for checked baggage as women also have the problem of needing more clothing toiletries, shoes etc. than men.
Therefore I have to make a choice between my handbag and my computer. What else will they take away from the travelers?
