Surname need to be deleted on a non-refundable ticket

Dear Sir/Mam,
I had booked an e-ticket via cleartrip.com on 9th September 2015. When I was booking my ticket I mention my name as it is on my Passport that is 'KULDEEP'. After that I click proceed but I was not able to proceed further on payment options because server is asking my surname which was necessary to proceed to payment stage. So I write my surname which is 'TANWAR' and done the payment. But when I got my e-ticket I saw my full name written on it. Since then I am continuously contacting both customer care representatives but I was told it is not possible to change the name. I need to cancel my ticket. I think it was not my mistake. There has been an option for not having any surname. I am not in a position to bear this huge cancel amount. So please help me out.
