have traveled from Guangzhou, Chine with China Southern Airline to New York JFK international airport on 10 April 2017 with CZ399. There were two luggage had been delayed; and we advised to the airline company staff, we would stay in Sheraton Hotel Toronto Canada in 3 days later; and advised then to delivery the two luggage to the hotel. When we were in Toronto, the luggage had not been delivered as expected. We did contact the China Southern Airline New York agent everyday to discussed the our luggage since 11 April 2017, however, we got different story with different staff.
When we left Canada and back into USA on 15 April, the China Southern Airline contacted us and advised to pickup the luggage in Toronto international airport. Obviously we were unable to back to Toronto to picked up the luggage; then we advised them to delivery the luggage back to our Sydney Australia home.
In the USA and Canada trip, we carried 3 luggage, the two delayed luggage were stored all our winter clothing for our whole family (my wife and two kids). Then we had to bough the new winter clothing and another two suitcases during the trip.
There was another luggage delayed from Guangzhou, China to Sydney Australia. It is unbelievable!
After we back to Australia home, we contacted China Southern Airline about the compensation. They advised it's only $80 USA dollars compensation. Can you advise it's fair?
