To Whom it may concern,
Weather we had a flight delay or not I was going to write to you. I am a handicapped person. When my neice ordered this trip for me she also ordered a wheelchair. I had to ask for a chair each time except once. There was one young man that was very nice in Aruba. It got to the point they told my sister there's the elevator just push her upon the 2nd floor.
I a also have a very hard time flying (check with my doctor), I have to start taking medication sometimes a month and a half before I leave. You cannot imagine what it was like for me sitting in a wheelchair and not wanting to get on ther flight and to top it off I am taking medication and the flight don't leave. For over two hours i'm just waiting not knowing whats goingon. Finally someone told us the flight would be cancled. We were sent to a motel/hotel what ever you want to call it. I was not able to sleep that night not just because but it was like insect hell, my sister as well as myself was bitten.by something, gods knws what and it was even worse when the flight did not leave at the schaduled time the next day, which made it even worse. For two days I am taking medication like I never have before because otherwise I cannot breath, (this is how it effects me). As I write this letter I have had to take medicine because of just thinking about it gives me panic attacts. If you never had panic attacts you would not understnd. Normally after I come home from a flight I only take my meds once or twice a month, sometimes not at all. I wish it was some way I could explain to you what it feels like not feeling like you can breath, but I can't. I have been back to my doctor, I don;'t know why he can't help me no more than give me medication I already have.
Anyway, I don't know if or when I will be able to fly again. I feel with all I hbave been through and spent over $2500.00 I. should be having good feelings about my vacation which was great (except for the wheelchair problem) until the airport incident.
I could'nt believe my eyes when I read the e-mail youall sent us. Just my visit to the doctor was $90.00. What you are offering is an insult to me. With my panic attacts I may not fly again, ever, and you offer a $100.00 off a flight, a round trip at that and limit where a person can go within a year. This is unacceptable to me and you should be ashamed to even offer it, I guess this is hiow you became a multi million dollar company.
When people ask me how was you trip I tell what a wonderful time I had until the flight. Guess What the next question is what did the airline do to make up for your inconvience. I have been saying I have not heard from them, now I will tell them United offered me a $100.00 off the next flight I take with them to certain places and it has to done within a year. I'm sure that will help youoall a lot! This was not the first time I flew with you but it will be the last , if I can fly again at all.
Very disappointed in your airline.
