No birth certificate = pay up
I was flying with my 2 children, a 3 year old boy and a small (23 lbs) 22 mo old girl. I've flown with children dozens of times since my son was born and have NEVER been asked to present a birth certificate. Because I didn't have my daughter's on me, I was forced to either purchase a ticket for her or wait for my Dr. office to fax her birth records to customer service and risk missing my flight. They kept me at the ticket counter for almost an hour then made me drag my car seat with my stroller and children 1/2 way across the airport to the "oversized baggage" section. After getting through security with a double stroller and 2 small children, I still had to check-in at the terminal. By the time I got on the plane, there were no seats and the pilot was aggitated that I wasn't sitting down and was calling me out over the intercom as holding up the plane. I'm sorry, but I'm not separating my small children into middle seats speckled throughout the plane! Then they LOST MY BAG AND CARSEAT...on a direct flight!!!
