Actually puertto, please highlight the WHOLE statement as such:

It still doesn't say Singapore Airlines took your money, it states you were advised to buy new tickets. The unused ticket they were looking for is singapore - colombo and it would appear that your sister will be the one to get the refund not you, since it states you will obtain a refund on the original tickets. I hope you have all your documents in order because your gonna be in for a fight.
