To the OP, my own apologies I misread your complaint. First, and this is the big question, why did they surround you "all of a sudden" and ask you to remove things. Agreed they should be accountable for their actions, however what would make them take such actions is the big question. I'm gonna take the "there's more to the story than this" stance.
