Thumbs down Bounced between United and Continental: buck passing

I have a confirmed reservation with Continental...some flt is on UNited...the problem is that no one knows which! Continental says flt 6566 is on UNited and United says it's on Continental. The flt 6904 is supposed to be on United, I have the seat nos but when I log on to United.com to check in they say it's operated by Continental...I spent 1 hour on the phone with both airles and they both passed the buck.
I wonder if there's a flt at all!!!
