Iam in the process of sueing Air Transat right now. I am taking them to small claims court. I cant say much about my claim since our actual court day isnt until Sept.

Try contacting TICO (Travel Industry council ?) - they regulate things with airlines. When they couldnt help me....and belive me they tried! I proceeded to small claims court. Air T was not willign to settle with me until I took them to court.

My issue with them was due to a ticket change with my flight. Orginally scheduled to fly with Skyservice and then when they chagned us to canjet they changed the date and didnt tell us. (they argue saying they did tell us of the chagne - thats were the dispute is). When we showed up to the airport on the wrong day, the only way for us to get out of the airport was to purchase tickets with Westjet (we did so on the suggestion of an AirT rep) and now they will not reimburse us the whole amout of that extra ticket. (there's a lot more little details to it)

My point is....DON'T BE AFRAID to stand up to these little companies. They should not be allow to treat "little" people this way. Do what you feel is right, but dont be afraid to take them on.
