once your on a plane you can't get of that is federal regulations for security reasons. also if your purse wouldn't fit under the seat maybe it wasn't a purse? what kind of purse doesn't fit under the seat? maybe you were just upset you couldn't get off and check on your ring that you carelessly left at securtity and were being difficult?

I actually came by this thread completely by chance. But in case there is someone else like me who Googled "Todd D" and "US Airways", I just wanted to share my story too.

I actually do think that the OP was unreasonable in de-boarding to get her ring, since it really would hold up the flight (she should have gone to the checkpoint before boarding), but having met the Todd D in question, and having encountered his attitude, I have to sympathize with her a little bit.

My story is posted in flyer talk forum (but I can't submit the link since this is my first post; will follow up with another post soon)

Long story short, Todd D did not help me when I was having trouble with my luggage in the overhead bin (it was an express jet), so when I went out to the gate to get a tag for my luggage so that it could be left on the jet bridge, he refused to let me board, citing "security issues", when all of my belongings were left on board.

I wish I had come across this thread before I filed a complaint with US Airways. But in case someone else sees this thread, the US Airways personnel assures me that he has been pulled aside for "a chat", and if he continues to behave this way, the only way you can correct his actions is by continuing to file complaints with their customer service.

Good luck, and I really hope that you don't run into him!
