Default change of plan? $200 fee. Delayed by AA = wasted life and no reimbursement

OMG These American Airlines screw with customer and took customers' tax money for bailout. What is wrong with them? Reservation changes cost 200! they treat us as if we know exactly what will happen in the future and penalize us for making changes. How about we charge them every time they delay/cancel their flight? According to their logic they expect perfect future planning from customers, then they should be able to forecast the 9/11, all the snow storms, hurricanes and whatever else that can cause delay/cancellations and plan accordingly. F**k|ng republicans took our tax payer $ and gave them to these low life piece of $***

You can purchase a fully refundable ticket, you an not purchase an inexpensive fully refundable ticket.
Read your contract of carriage terms and conditions before you purchase your low cost fare. You get the discount for not being able to change with out a fee, they set the fee at $200 even if your fare was only $101.

Sorry to gang up against you and agree with Brightonline but he is correct. You bought the cheapest NON refundable and NON changeable ticket without a $200 fee. During the booking process you were offered travel insurance to cover the costs if you needed to change the ticket and you declined it. You could also have puchased a fully refundable ticket at a higher price but you declined that too. You KNEW you couldn't change the ticket without a fee when you bought it and NOW when you DO want to change it you get abusive to the airline and claim it is their fault!!!!!!

No how about taxpayer with misplaced political ideology listening to low information liberal media.
The "bailout" were loans and these were paid back with interest by the major airlines, it was a profitable venture for taxpayers, just as the bank loans were. If we had allowed airlines to fail just as banks I doubt any legacy would have survived leaving a fractured industry - ultimately bad for consumers.
The bill was passed with only a single Republican dissenting and it passed with overwhelming support in the house, again by democrats.
At the time, democrats controlled the senate and could have dissented yet not a single one did.
OP, turn off the MSNBC and educate yourself
