Default Abusive attendants/captain

When I refused to allow an obvoiusly drunk passenger to sit between myself and my ill wife, a flight attendant tried to force me to do so, instead of kicking this drunk off the plane.

Later, the captain approached me in front of other passengers, verbally abusing me and threating to turn me into to FAA and that I'd never fly again!!!

I am sure that there is alot more to this story than you are saying. Was it your assumption this person was drunk? I think it was your attempt to get an extra seat for free. If your wife was that sick, she could be contagious and should have not been allowed to fly. I would rather sit next to a drunk than a sick individual that I could get very ill from, and possibly a deadly comunicable disease.

I am trained in chemical dependency issues. Besides the obvious odor of alcohol on his breath, his words (slurred) and actions (obnoxious behaviour and "swaying" while standing) were those of an intoxicated individual. I'm saying "drunk" as a common label for a person acting as he did. As far as my wife (which is really irrelevant in this discussion), she is physically disabled and requires a wheelchair to move over long distances. She was not contagious. Also, while I was in the restroom prior to this incident, he made suggestive remarks to her.

pattis, you sound like a flight attendant; are you?

That comment in itself proves that there is absolutly no credibility in what you claim....even if the captain did approach you he/she would not threaten to turn you into the FAA. The local police or sheriff department maybe, but the FAA??? Come on do you honestly think no one would pick up on that???

And no, I am not a flight attendant. I get to deal with such pleasant people as yourself at the gate and ticket counter. But it is really fun to talk with the flight attendants and trade stories with them about the stories that people make up and whining they do to try and get their way

there is a difference between ill and handicapped, if wife was disabled he should have stated disabled. Saying ill I would have assumed flu, food poisoning etc.
