Exclamation Shape-up Air Canada!

I wonder what happened to once mighty Air Canada? They become stingy! Booking a domestic flight on their site gives a choice of 3 different prices for the same flight, each by about $100 difference: tango, tango plus, latitude. Once you pass this choice, they charge $25 for a privilege of picking a seat, $6 for a lousy snack etc. The tickets are non refundable, non standby permitted, and the same day flight change is $150. If you have picked the jazz flight than you get only 25% of Aeroplane points.

Domestic flights within Canada are very expensive in comparison to US and especially Europe when airlines on one hour flight offers a delicious sandwich.

They should look into European domestic airlines for quality, be less expensive, their site more welcoming and not charging exorbitant flight prices and a good sandwich would be welcome. My husband's flight to Mexico was more than 6 hours, at discount price of over $1300, with no frills and the snack bought for $6 was terrible.

We recently travelled Air Canada Vacations on a trip to Mexico. It was the worst inflight service I have ever experienced. First of all I have never flown on a more "stingy" airline. You pay for absolutely everything even a small snack pack of chips. Where did the included meals go? Gone are the days of even requesting a pillow for a sore neck. You can purchase a silly little blow-up plastic pillow. This was disappointing but not near as disappointing as the customer service.

I purchased earphones for $3 but the attendants carry no change, the attendant said "maybe remind me later that I owe you money, I might forget". Well she did forget and then started at the front aisles asking people if she owed them money. How hard is it to carry change? or take note of a seat #15D?

This is also the first time I have boarded a plane that has not yet been cleaned or re-stocked. The trays were dirty, my boyfriends actually had red wine or grape juice spilled all over both sides of the tray. The bathrooms had no toilet paper/kleenex, many of the seats don't recline, and if you don't have eye contact with the attendant when she goes by don't expect her to ask if you want water/juice.

We just recently got engaged and have been dealing with an agent for our DESTINATION WEDDING for February 2010. She was recently at a Bridal Show with an Air Canada Representative. Air Canada is off the list! My guests deserve better.
