I recently flew from JFK to LHR on a 777. How stupid can AA be to put telephones in the top of the arm rests, these are located directly where ones elbow rests on the arm rest. I got off the plane with the skin rubbed off both my elbows. As well as being most uncomfortable, this is a health hazard with previous passengers body fluids (blood) remaining on the sharp corners of the controls/telephone.
The seat designer, or more importantly the AA senior management who approved this design, need to be made to sit in these seats for a round the world trip and maybe this stupid idea would be changed.
Maybe it's just another AA marketing tool to drive passengers to fly first class?

AA is not the only airline that does this. Aer lingus also has the phones in the arm rests on their a/c
