Angry Vegan diet only?

I am a vegetarian and not Vegan. Every time I travel in American airlines I cant get any diary products and settle only for Vegan diet.Where as all the other airlines have no problem in providing Asian vegetarian meals. How can the airlines consider by default every one in the world as Non vegetarians ?

Consider focusing on solutions - not the problem. I fly very often and cannot remember the last time I ate airline food. I always bring a nice meal on-board with me.

Is this complaint for real. Vegan meals are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, so it makes sense to combine them. Is it really too much to ask that you go without dairy to a few hours... there are so many more legitimate things to complain about.

My journey is not short. It could take up to 18 hrs. I have no intention of cooking for the flight which I have paid already. My point is why should American airlines think every one eat meat by default ?

By ordering a vegan meal you get apples instead of chocolate.

They are not asking you to "eat meat" by default. A vegan meal has no meat in it. They are asking you to do without dairy. I don't think that is such a massive sacrifice... but it clearly means a lot to you!!
