Default US Airways - never again

I was flying to Spokane, WA (GEG) from Tampa, FL (TPA) with a connection in Phoenix, AZ (PHX). The layover was supposed to be about an hour with an arrival at GEG at 10:47pm. Upon arriving in PHX, we were told that the flight had been delayed for approximately two (2) hours due to "maintenance issues". After a more than two and a half hours the plane finally took off with an estimated arrival time of 1:30am 01/10. No one was offered any kind of even token compensation for the lengthy delay.
From there the flight went relatively smoothly until our final approach to GEG. The fire alarm went off as we began our landing and the cabin pressure changed drastically. We were not informed about either of these issues until we had landed and parked on the tarmac. At this point we were informed that there had been "an issue with the pressurization system at 7,000 feet" and that we would not taxi to the gate until the pressure had stabilized. We were again forced to wait for over 30 minutes. Again no compensation was offered other than "discount coupons for local hotels" that are available in any travel guide.
This has been by far the most unpleasant flight I have ever had the misfortune to be on and the complete lack of communication and customer service was astounding. Due to the delay I arrived home at 3:00am while I was supposed to start work at 6:00am; because of US Airway's poorly maintained aircraft and substandard customer service I was forced to miss work as well as the person that was picking me up.
