The worst flight I've ever had with Southwest hands down in my 25 years. Upon a peice of the wing falling off in El Paso, and our flight being delayed 2 hours from Austin, Texas, I was upset to say the least. A new plane was issued to us for our flight from Austin to Houston, then from Houston to Jackson, MS, then routed then again from Jackson, MS to Baltimore MD (my final destination). There was no info from the person at gate 8 check-in saying the flight had been changed in any way other than a 2 hour delay - and to check the monitor. The new flight time said my flight 3068 would now depart at 2:50pm. My final destination was to Baltimore, MD. I was there early at noon to make the 1pm flight home, then heard that a piece of the wing fell off in El Paso, and they had to give us another plane. When waiting in line to board flight 3068, no announcement was made that the flight was still going to Baltimore - only to Houston and Jackson, MS. When I got up to the gentleman to ask at the gate with my preboarding pre-printed tkt # B20, I asked, "Is this plane still going to Baltimore for it's final destination?, or was my flight to Baltimore diverted?" His response was, "You need to goto the other Southwest gate and ask them at the desk". Everyone had already boarded the flight by then, and by the time I got to gate 6 to ask, a lady used her walkie-talkie (which the origional guy had a gate 8) to find out, they believed this was still my plane heading to Baltimore. Gate 7 had about 4 other people in line, and if I would have waited - my plane surely would have taken off without me. I ran back to gate 8 to board the plane and told the same guy, (Young, 20- something, of Indian descent) - that he almost made me miss my flight to Baltimore, and that this WAS my plane. He WAS NOT appologetic in any way, and acted quite rude to me. I was the last one on the plane ready to take off, winded from running, and ****** at the guy taking the ticket at the gate to board my plane. I was livid and upset that he almost made me miss my plane to Baltimore. I asked him his name and he would not give it to me. Once on the plane our flight 3068 was delayed 30 mins to land due to a thunderstorm in Houston. I did not arrive in Baltimore until alittle after 10pm. It was my worst expirence with Southwest I've ever had, and even asked another passenger jokingly if we would get a free flight or at least a few coupon books. They said highly unlikely now adays, your lucky they don't charge for peanuts. I laughed and then wondered - maybe they are headed in this direction, right after they decide to charge for bags. What is the industry coming to? They have certainly lost their heart in my eyes at Southwest. I thought this day Southwest would have lost a loyal flyer or two for sure. There were 11 of us going all the way to Baltimore. I am certainly very angry at the kid in Austin who didn't take the time to find out if my flight was heading to Baltimore, and was more concerned in getting everyone on the late plane to leave. It was VERY POOR customer service and I'll have to seriously evaluate flying with Southwest again.
