Angry delta is incompetent flight DL4722

flight from Long Beach at 4:36 p.m...arrive at 3:00 p.m...get my boarding pass and go upstairs for a bite to eat..look at my boarding pass which states that seats will be assigned approximately "10 to 45 minutes before departure"..i go thru security at 4:05 p.m...get to delta window and no one is there..i wait for 10 minutes then find a policeman who can't find anyone and then am told i am too late..it is 4:15..22 minutes until departure...delta had already had me on the flight and since no one was there to admit me i missed my flight even though it left at 4:36..this was all because delta had left their post after "checking me in"..i was unable to get another flight until the next day (something they had a hard time doing since delta had me listed as ON THE FLIGHT)..doesn't really help to get into Austin the next day at 6:30p.m. new year's eve when you work at a restaurant..customer service keeps stating that it was my responsibility to wait 75 minutes to hear my name called..they never called my name because they checked me in on the flight (how i don't know or care)...won't be flying delta ever again and will spread the word..thank you social media~

Assumingt your times are correct, Delta owes you an apology and perhaps compensation. According to their own website: "
From U.S. cities, you must be at the boarding gate at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time with the exception of St. Croix (STX) and St. Thomas (STT) which require 45 minutes."

When you say you went to the "Delta window" are you referring to the departure gate? If so you were there in plenty of time.
