I flew from Beijing - San francisco -Cleveland on Jan 5. I had checked in two bags when leaving Beijing, collected them in San francisco after I entered custom, then checked in them to flight CO1637 for Cleveland. However, I could not find one of them at Cleveland airport. This baggage is filled with daily necessities, medications and clothes of mine. I can't image if I lose them. I had contacted with continental pensonnel at the airport and was given a ref number. But after two days the continental still can't find where the baggage is.

You can buy your basic necessities and charge Continental. You do not need their approval and you should not be fobbed off. Keep you receipts and be reasonable, but get what you need. You are entitled to have them reimbursed by the airline.
