Lied to and misled
Flight back from Orlando cancelled due mechanical reasons- no email or phone message from airline. Due to this checked out hotel, returned rental car and was at airport at 5a.m. Called Spirit needed direct flight as that was what we bought due back and other health reasons and needed to get back that day, Called Priceline,they called Spirit with no help. Only offered standby on an OVERBOOKED flight leaving 10 hours later or a noon flight arriving 11 hours after leaving. Finally offered 2 round trip tickets plus the $50 vouchers which they said they emailed to everyone already and 3 meal vouchers which none of the vendors at the Orlando airport we spoke to would honor as they don't pay their bills. Finally arrived after 11 p.m. and had to drive home in rain and fog thro Detroit and further-
Said they had emailed the tickets and vouchers then - still no tickets or vouchers rec'd. Am advising everyone to reconsider this airline and avoid it..as it seems they do not honor their commitments to passengers.
