WOW! 'lady' with HORRIBLE attitude at customer service?
I am a bit handicapped and have recently had shoulder surgery. I had scheduled to send a pup of mine to FL. I got a confirmation email with all info on it. I looked at address (8101 N E Airport Way Portland OR 97218)and seen it was different from last one I had been at. So I looked up the website and it had yet another address (7904 NE Air Cargo Rd, Portland, OR 97218) listed for cargo. This address looked familiar and this is the one I went to first. Because of my handicap and shoulder, I didn't want to have to do anymore walking/carrying kennel around than I had to as I was by myself. I tried calling the phone number listed but a recording took up a lot of time, and then I was on hold for 12 minutes before I finally hung up. I found an Oregon. number so I called that to verify the address before I left early next morning for the flight, but ALL day long all the phone did was ring and ring. (503.288.2973) This morning I left earlier then needed in case I had a difficult time finding correct address. I went to an address I had been at before to send another puppy, but it was closed. I went to second address that was listed 7904 NE Air Cargo Rd, Portland, OR 97218 and they informed me that United and Continental had merged together and they were now across the street! So I drove over there. I finally found it, but was now 5 minutes late. When I walked in I was greeted kindly by a staff member, but then walked out a woman named Shirley Fernandez. In an elevated voice, instead of a greeting she said: "do you know you missed your deadline to drop of your pet?" I asked her what she meant as I was only 4-5 minutes late at this time. She said there was a 90 minute time limit and I was late. I explained to her (after looking at clock) I was only 5 minutes late and I wouldn't have been late at all if I would have gotten a correct address, or had someone answer a phone when I called. She (still in elevated voice) told me I missed the deadline and could TRY to do paper work in time. I again told her I would have been in plenty of time if I hadn't gotten two different addresses. She said she doubted I got wrong address and wanted to see it. I told her to pull up my email address and I would show her. I showed her the address I had. )(I can send you a copy of my email as well. When I was calling, I just wanted to confirm which address was correct as I now had two different ones) She refused to pull up my email. She was VERY RUDE and obnoxious! I asked her if this was all about being late only 5 minutes!!! At this point, about 5 minutes after I arrived she said she would take note of the time, because I had told her that I was going to file a complaint! When I asked her for her name she gave it to me and a VERY RUDE manner told me she IS the supervisor! I don't care who she is, she was SO RUDE! and for 5 minutes? My flight was scheduled to leave at 6:45. I was at the check in point at 5:20! For her attitude and all for only 5 minutes late, at NO FAULT of my own, this is so unprofessional! I have sent a lot of puppies out over the years, usually using Delta. I have used Continental a few times before, but will never ever again if I don't hear a satisfactory result from this complaint!
