Default Edreams - Do not do business with them

Edreams acts in a unscrupulous and disrespectful way towards its customers. I bought 3 tickets from them for a journey from Europe to USA and back. During the ordering process Edreams site frequently displayed nagging messages saying that if I do not hurry up they will cancel the process and I will have to start all over again. Now I realize that this is a well thought
scenario to force the user to make errors. After completing the procedure I received the etickets with explanations. The purchase was made towards the end of the day on Friday 28 September 2012. In the following hours I checked the tickets and saw that I had written on the tickets first names instead of last names and vice versa. This happened probably due to the frequent
display of nagging messages. I immediately read the documentation which said "inform us via email and call us immediately within the 24 hours". It was before
midnight the telephones did not respond, in fact the note said the offices were closed at 23.30 hours. So I sent an email explaining the mistake and asked for correction. Next morning still within the 24 hour period of purchase I phoned Edreams. From that point onwards Edreams kept throwing the ball to the airline company United Airlines. I spoke personally to UA officers. With
good will they told me that the tickets will pose a security problem and it is up to Edreams to change them. One UA officer said "Please ask Edreams to do a
commercial gesture, it will take only a few minutes for them to cancel the tickets and issue new corrected ones and it will cost nothing". My trip is planned to take place in December. I have asked Edreams repeatedly to
correct the situation or reimburse the tickets or allow me to use them for other flights. But no, they do not even answer the emails and phone calls. The only answer given to me is "Cancel your tickets and buy new ones"
I took the case to various consumer protection organizations and wrote to numerous forums. This behaviour of Edreams is against business ethics and
known commercial practices and traditions. It is an unscrupulous way of taking money out of the pockets of customers.
For any organization interested in the case I have all the documentation and I am ready to supply all the information.
The morality is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EDREAMS. Edreams should be banned from international commerce.
