I arrived on Jan 05 in San Jose, Costa Rica. Today it is the 8th and the luggage coming from Sao Paulo through two connections, still did not arrive.
According to the procedure, the air company in charge of the last flight is responsible for locating, retrieving and delivering the lost luggage. Therefore, I have been calling AVIANCA 3 or 4 times a day for three days now.
To my complete astonishment, in each one of the calls, a different piece of information is given me. In the last but one, obtained yesterday, they said the suitcase was in Bogota and it would reach San Jose this morning.
It did not arrive. I called again today and they told me that there is no information, it is not in the system, blah, blah, blah, and that I must wait until they contact me. What kind of a prank is this? Who lied? The person to whom I talked yesterday or that of today?
How long does it take to call 2 or 3 airports and to talk to their respective local luggage teams? Only totally incompetent companies do not manage to give reliable information in almost 72 hours. 72 hours!!!!!
AVIANCA, please get your act together NOW. You are way more lost than my luggage.
My itinerary was GRU - GIG - BOG - SJO, the flights were G3 7625, AV 260 and LR 690 (sold as AV 6603). The luggage ticker number is G3 068029.
