Great Lakes Airlines & maintenance problems
To Whom It May Concern: 01/30/2013
When Flying out of Vernal UT Sunday 13 Jan 2013, Great Lakes Airlines flt. 7175 the flight was cancelled due to maintenance. I strongly believe that the true fact is they, (Great Lakes Airlines) cancelled the flight because there were only 4 or 5 passengers scheduled to fly on that flight. I was placed on their next flight to Denver that afternoon. This caused me to miss my connecting flight out of Denver and had to spend the nite there, flying out the next morning. This caused me to get into my destination late Monday evening which in turn made me miss the first day of technical training I was scheduled for and why I was traveling in the first place. Upon my return flight, in Denver Saturday 19 Jan, Great Lakes Airlines flt 7236 into Vernal UT was scheduled to depart at 11:55 am. Waiting at the gate the Great Lakes agents @ gate A-63 standing around laughing and cutting up this departure time comes and goes. I go up to inquire and they are about as rude and obnoxious as can be and finally tell me it's "maintenance related". We finally depart @ around 2:30 pm, and as we are coming in for a landing at Vernal airport I notice not only are we coming in really fast but our flaps were not down. After landing I asked the pilot what was going on and he informs me that the flaps were the maintenance problem that caused the delay and they had to get special permission to fly in that condition!! This airlines is not only a disaster waiting to happen but has some of the most ignorant, rude and obnoxious employees I've had the displeasure of meeting. They're not an airlines, they're a circus with nothing but clowns running around!!
These guys need to get their act together, maintenance problems and rude employees seem to plague their organization
