Obviously if a company goes bankrupt, that company will no longer be able to provide you benefits. Same for all companies and all things.

I don't think I'm being naive, but I do think you're gyrating wildely to try to desperately hold on to some shred of a point here.

The goal is not to find the smallest exception and say it disproves the rule, the goal is to find out how things work on the whole, and make the most of it. So you can continue to pay full fare to fly cattle class - but those of us who know what we're doing fly up in the pointy end for less than a full fare Y ticket. And I will continue to do so for many, many years after I've stopped travelling for work.
