We purchased 2 tickets to fly to Knoxville,tn to visit our granddaughter on the 4 day weekend of 10.8.2015 for $481.70each.flight was from jfk to Reagan(wash. dc) to Knoxville.the plane arrived about an hour late to jfk and by the time we got to Reagan we missed our connection.next flight was @ 7:00PM and was sold out but we waited since we were first on wait list.no luck and all flights to Knoxville were sold out the next 2 days.they flew us back to LaGuardia on the 10:00pm fight,got home @ 1:00am and never got to see our granddaughter.
I called aa on 10/9/2015 and was told to file a claim on their website.i did.
on 10/27/2015 I received 2 vouchers good for I year for $481.70 each stating clearly that no extensions are possible.i was incensed that we're being punished for their ineptness,no note,no nothing!i sent another e-mail.i received an acknowledge of receipt of my e-mail from sean bentel and assigned a reference #1-659590400.you can't talk to anyone..only e-mail or fax.
I then received a phone call from ms.annamari e. dana in customer service.after a nice discussion she agreed a refund was in order and gave me specificinstructions to send the vouchers back to her at:4000 e.sky harris blvd. phoenix,az 86034 so that they don't get lost.i did and they acknowledged receipt.
during this interim period I have sent numerous e-mails,faxes,us mail and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.THEY ARE ACTUALLY STEALING MY MONEY!!
I have copies of all correspondence and will continue doing whatever is necessary to stop this theft of services!
