Default Refund of excess amount charged

I travelled by British Airways on 19th of February, 2016 (Travel Ref: 8EOADQ). Owing to one of my hand luggage not fitting into their box, I had to check that in as an extra luggage, and thus, had to pay for extra baggage. The amount I was asked to pay was 13,755 INR, which I paid through my credit card. After some days, I looked at my mini statement of card, and noticed that this amount has been deducted from my card twice (13,755 * 2). I immediately called BA who mentioned they have received this amount just once. Then I got in touch with my credit card vendor, who provided me with all details that BA was paid twice. On getting back to BA, they checked their records, and admitted the amount has been deducted twice, and immediately issued orders to refunds team to get this amount refunded to me (Case ID: 14990659). All of this happened by 4th of March, 2016. Since that day, I am waiting for the next message, but have not received any. On calling BA, they say that they are sorry it is taking so long, but they have not heard back from refunds team yet. I ask them to escalate this, or get me the contact number/e-mail of authority in refunds team, which they say they cannot provide, and that is a backend team, which cannot come on call. At this time, I am not sure whom I should approach to claim this refund. Any and all help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

I am also still waiting for a refund from BA, after booking flights and they deducted £1038 too much from my credit card! Flights were booked on 27 Feb. I get the same answers as you 'the team are looking into it' 'the refunds team are dealing with it' 'we are investigating'. I stopped calling as was losing the will to live and started Tweeting. You get an immediate response on Twitter from the social media team, they are no more help, but at least you get contact - they will even phone you and they are based in the UK! Head if customer services is Denize McGregor, you can find her email on email and the director is Troy Warfield again never answers but it is done satisfaction to keep emailing him! I've been told twice that the amount has been credited, but it hasn't, infact one of those times they simply refunded the payment in 8 separate transactions and then deducted the amount in 2 more transactions!! Back to square 1. But get on Twitter, you will at least get a case number and a response if not a solution! Good luck I feel your pain
