I'd write a snail mail letter outlining the details. I think it was insensitive and demonstrated poor judgement on the part of the employee. I'd also write what if any remedy you seek. 10K miles thrown in your MP account sounds reasonable.

Too bad there is no "Asian Lives Matter" advocacy, but then again they are too busy being industrious and working....
