A word to the wise - Do Not under any circumstance fly United...The skies are not friendly.
We flew on Flight 1238 on Saturday, June 14th, from Denver to Austin. Not only was the flight delayed by nearly 4 hours, but we experienced the rudest, most abusive airline employees we could have ever imagined. Interesting that even after the delays, everyone left the plane complaining about the staff, not the wait. A Steward named Elliot was actually griping at a 3 year to put on a set belt and told his parents he'd turn the plane around and go back to the gate. Next row, he told my wife to move her seat forward, however the seat was broken. He then told her he was going to move her to another seat leaving my 2 small children alone. She said that wasn't going to happen and he got very rude. I made a comment to the matter of "Can you believe this guy?," at which point he verbally accosted me and threated to head back to the gate to remove me from the plane... He scared my 9 year old so much that my kid thought he was a terrorist trying to take over the plane and was then afraid and crying the rest of the flight. The problems went on and on with other passengers as well. I wrote it all down word for word and will start at the top with complaints. Does anyone have the best person to start with? I like to start at the top with the CEO...anyone have that contact information? At the end of the flight I went to the captain and told him the story, and brought the flight attendant into the discussion at which point he told me "You are a liar" and that I was "trying to get something out of the airline company," all this in front of the pilot. This is the single worst customer service I have every witnessed in any business. Fly Southwest. Jet Blue. Express Jet. Even American or Delta. Avoid United like the plague. I've had numerous problems with them, but this is the worst. If anyone has good contact information for getting this guy sacked, please let me know. And if anyone else was on that flight, please contact me. Thanks. |

I can say I agree with you about flying United as I've had nothing but great experiences with them. This could be the case of one bad apple trying to spoil the whole bunch. I know whenever I see i am flying United, I breathe a sigh of relief because I know from the door I will be taken care of. You can try to write a complaint letter, specifically naming the flight attendent, i don't think writing the CEO ever works on any airline. Though "someone" may respond and you'll get a voucher of some sort. But i would suggest writing the letter nonetheless.

I completely agree that United is the worst and something should be done. I don't know where to complaine. I spoke with their customer service but I don't think that these flight attendants will be panished. Please, advise what to do. I was on United Airlines flight 1664 flying from Cancun to Los Angeles on August 21, 2008. At the Cancun Airport they told us that our seats were not assigned, so we have to sit separate. I was with my husband and 2 small children and 4 months pregnant. When we entered the plane we approched the male flight attendant standing next to the pilot and I told him the situation. He said that there was nothing he can do and we should take our seats with very angry tone of voice. I agrred. Our seats were on 15, 22, 24 and 25. My son sat on 15F. We got to 22E and I asked my 6 years old daughter to have a seat. She refused to sit with strange people and started to cry. One of flight attendants (her name was Sharon) told me "Make her seat or I will make her". I said how I am suppose to make her seat ? Should I heat her, yell on her? Do you have a suggestion? She told me than "Have a seat yorself". I refused. I said that I wont seat myself and have her whatever she wants with my 6 years old child. Than she goes and calls this male flight attendant (John - who refused to give me his last name). He comes with sequruty guard and tells me with a same angry voice that he will take me and my daughter out of the flight and leave me in Mexico if I wont seat right away. Of course I did and thay made my daughter and my son to seat with strainge people. My daughter cried during the whole flight, so did I. They were making fun of me, because I wouldn't respond to their questions with a same fake smile that they had on their ugly fases and this woman flight attendant was calling me "angry lady" all the time. I need someone advice on how to panish this people. Please, help.
