I have an upcoming flight in DEC and I received a received a notice about a schedule change.
The number of the flight changed, but not the times. However my original seat is now in the must pay $15 for, while I have been moved further back. I'm sure that this will be happening to many others. This was a FF flight and I have over 200,000 miles with Delta. All I got from customer relations was "policy". Anything I can do? |

I am not familiar with Delta's policies but if you are a FF with certain status you might be eligible to have many fees waived. Maybe the office you called was not aware of that. I have not heard of my company (AA) charging $15 for a seat change due to a schedule change but I am sure stuff like that is in the future for all who fly. Was it perhaps a bag fee?

Thanks for the response. I have over 200,000 miles on both Delta and AA. This is a future flight. I can sit way back in my newly assigned seat or pay for my original seat when I get to the airport. With a 40 minute connection at Atlanta, this makes no sense at all as debording will now take me at least 20 minutes. I spoke to a Skymiles supervisor who explained "policy" to me as if I were a novice flyer. I am concerned about how many other passengers they do this to.
Delta has a monopoly on Daytona unfortunately. |
