Interesting pic. Never saw a "whole" plane on a flatbed before.
I'm guessing this is the one that went into the Hudson?? |

There's a series of those shots on the web. The Captain of that flight is the one I want on all my trips!

From what I remembered when I saw the shots, it was being transported from the shore of the crash site to another place for the investigation.

Weather wasn't an issue with US Airways flight 1549. What brought the plane down was a multiple bird strike when the plane encountered some Canada Geese.

It was ferried across the Hudson and lifted out of the water in Elizabeth, NJ. After the initial inspection was completed the wings and tail section were removed. From there it was transported by flat-bed to a warehouse in Harrison, NJ which is just outside of Newark.

Firstly WELCOME BACK PHXFLYER
![]() Your right and Butch is wrong (surprise surprise (doing Gomer Pyle) ) from the video of the Hudson crash it was a clear day (bad broadway tunes now in head...on a clear day you can see forever)(and no have have not been in the embalming room snuffing fumes). They reported birds found in engines, on internet they said they even brought in experts from Smithsonian that identified the bird remains as huge geese. |
