Was it the same aircraft type both ways? If it was a different aircraft for the return trip then perhaps the bins were smaller and the bag wouldn't have fit.
I also feel this is one of those "were not getting the whole story" stories. Why when it was simply a matter of checking vs. carrying on a bag was she required to re-book? Wouldn't they have simply charged her the checked bag fee? |
