Another unpleasant flight with Jet2.com. However I always hated the fuss about all the procedure particularly before the journey, but even if it is frustrating, once you have done it, you can just lay back and enjoy your journey. Well, at least you would think so. Perhaps it is the air and the atmosphere - I do not know -, but sometimes I do get very emotional on the plane and would wish people just leave me alone or at least be understanding.
On this day I had to bring my journey forward for family reasons, therefore I was in the very sensitive mood. Bloody Jet2.com had the usual approach: first of all the customer service at the airport did not want to help me to find out whether I could move my flight I have already booked a couple of days forward or not. They wanted me to find a telephone and phone a very expensive number from a telephone box or from my pay as you go mobile phone from a foreign country!! Finally, when I convinced them this is a very stupid idea and that is what they are for (to help me), they contacted their central office, got the permission to change my flight, but I paid 1.5 times more(!!) for this manouver.....Whilst my original return ticket cost approx. £100, this transaction for the return journey had cost about £150 just itself... I paid as I had to, but I was very embittered and as I outlined above I felt already voulnerable enough. Finally we got on board, but the plane did not want to move, as it was a hot day, I felt really dehydrated since you are not allowed to take liquid with you on to the plane, the cabin crew did not start serving yet until we were not in the air, therefore I was just waiting and started felling really bad. I asked a member of the cabin crew what are we waiting for as I was very worried that if we arrive too late, I would miss my last train to get home and needless to say that would had cost me another £50-£60 to get home by taxi... They said that we did not have a permission to take off just yet, but we will departure shortly. I felt I was going to collapse, but as the staff was quite rude when I made my enquiry, I did not want to make any fuss, just closed my eyes and tried not to concentrate how dehydrated I was. Felt completely miserable, but also very angry. Finally we took off, I was thinking about my family and got very emotional, I missed them a lot. The cabin crew started serving, so I got my water at last, but at the next round one of them asked me if I wanted a raffle ticket or something when I briefly stated no thanks, she started mocking around - "No? You just sitting there miserably instead..." or something like that. I could not believe my ears, but could not be bothered to take a notice of her, however deep down I really felt outraged. When we finally arrived, they did not want to open the front door with some stupid excuse - like they do not open it after 9pm or something liek that - so everyone needed to get out on the back door, but it took ages for them to open that door. When I was asking them why we cannot get out at the front door, they just laughed at me and in a very cheeky way excused themselves as usual. I was in the rage as I had a very little time to ran through the airport check out, get my suitcase and get over to the train station to catch my train, so in my desperate situation just said "but I need to catch my train, cannot mess around..." The cabin crew just laughed and there was a skin-head-type of passenger, who started mocking around about this and making remarks, then when we finally started moving towards the door he deliberatly stopped to annoy me as I was behind him - I played with the thought for a sec perhaps I should rip his balls off - bloody malicious ba***ard!! But luckily I managed to get out as quickly as possible and got my train in the end. I did complain later on that I should not have paid 1.5 times more for my return journey however, as I did find it unfair and outrageous, but as I needed to travel, I was willing to pay. In the price details section it turned out that I paid for not only the administration fee, but everything else (airport tax, fluel cost, etc.) twice, but I only travelled once! So I cannot understand why we get charged for all of these again when only the administration fee would be reasonable??? They surely do not pay more taxes for the airport or the fuel, so it would make no difference to them....Of course they rejected my request for refunding the unreasonable charges... Bloody **** and greedy company! The top of that their staff is horrible and some of them are really malicious. I wish every single one of them to get this back in their life at least a hundred and fifty times!! Needless to say these people involved are all from the UK - how typical and also pathetic they are! |

Not quite sure you are cut out for the hurly burly of international air travel.....
Charging exhorbitant fees for last minute changes to flights is standard on all low costs... it is outrageous, but market driven. However, you are entitled to have the taxes refunded.... but there is usually a catch...and the benefit is often negated by a change fee which eats it all up. It can be better to abandon the ticket you have purchased and purchase another one on the internet. You don't become vulnerable because you have paid a higher price than you think is fair... you were irritated and grumpy...let's be honest. It is not true that you are not allowed to take liquids onboard the plane. You can buy water past the security gate and take it on to the aircraft no problem. The delays on the ground due to ATC slots etc are irritating but are simply part of the normal process of air travel. You were not coping because you were irritated and resentful. I suspect this came across loud and clear to the aircraft staff and other customers, which is why they were treating you as they did. Frankly, your list of complaints are petty. I am normally quite critical of the airlines and there are elements of what you describe which I may have been more sympathetic about, but you come across as self indulgent, whiny and a pain in the ****... so you can add me to the list of UK based unsympathetic people. first of all, if you do reply to any comment at least you should take the effort to read it carefully, which you obviously did not bother to do. secondly, when I was talking about vulnerability I did not mention it with connection to the ticket price - that was a stupid thing to make a connection with. I have got no idea how you brought them together.... finally, you were not there, you have not the right to judge, but this is exactly what I was referring to in the end of my comment: unfortunatelly there are many people in the UK - luckily not everybody - who just cannot wait to poke their nose into everything that is not their business, making judgement on others whether they were in the possession of the knowledge or not, being busy body and mocking on others. This has nothing to do with anybody else or anybody else's action. It has only got to do with unintelligence, nothing else. Of course if anyone else made a comment on these type of people, they are just getting offended - how childish! - instead of looking very deeply into themselves and thinking about it how to approach others. I am afraid I am not alone with my impression, and to be honest with your comment you have just proved that I am right a lot. :-) Whatever you think of me as a stranger for you, it makes no difference to me and you were right: you are an a****le, but I cannot be bothered to go down to your level. That is the end of it, I have no intention to carry on the discussion with you in your tone. :-) And for your information: it is only my choice which company I want to fly with, but Jet2.com will certainly be on my "do not" list. Just go back into your own misury and start feeling sorry for yourself! I did not blame anyone else, I did express it very clearly in my very first comment, that if I do not wish to talk to someone then I cannot understand why some people have to turn into a bully as that stupid stewardess or that skinhead ******* passenger I was referring to?? This was the whole point. I am certainly not aiming for anyone's petty, that would not be a solution for everything - it is rather the opposite! I have only described the details of that journey, because that is what this website for and at least other people might become aware of that how rubbish Jet2.com is! Obviously you and your moderator friend clearly failed to understand this! I repeat again: I am not remotely interested what you or your friend think of me, so you two can carry on abusing as you did so far, but that will not solve any of your issues, that is for sure. :-) P.S.: if you are at all an employee of an aircompany perhaps you should start learning some customer service skills, of which you are clearly lacking.... |

I was only checking if my request was submitted, but obviously not, therefore I had to take the necessary steps!!! Some pervers seem to want to keep this thread and it looks like he keeps taking on different user names in the name of the administrator to pretend that others replying to my posts. This is primitive.
Will u stop harrasing me then? Stop sending automatic emails with the message "xyz" replied!!!!! I am even thinking to go to the police if this thread will no be removed completely with all the complaints on it. It is completely abnormal that all the posts on this thread completely breached the T&C rules, however for some reason our perv admin and the moderator do not want to get rid of this. Well, we can play this game then until they get fed up. |

if your thinking of going to the police over this then maybe you shouldnt go on a blogging site, which this kind of is.
they would most likely tell you to go away and that it is not an issue they deal with just because people wont back you up 100% doesnt mean that they are wrong, doesnt mean that they dont know what they are saying or anything, your the one who is looking bad out of this by your prejudices (people from the UK, skinhead rather than bold) or calling others stupid do yourself a favor dont blog or go to places with a comment section if your not going to be able to handle what people say that wont make you happy, no one here went over the line and well every comment section you see at places like cnn.com you see much worse and im not sure if you could handle that |

You still do not get it, do you? I am definitely not the one, who is prejudist here, but I am not sure you are aware what that means. And how many times I have to say, I am not looking for "backing up". Probably would not even have replied the second time if not the moderator was the one, who "bursted" on me in that manner.
I thought there were rules on a blog like this and both the admin and the moderator were to prevent abusive comments, but for my biggest surprise they were the one who encouraged others to do so..... Well done! And you are telling me I cannot call them idiots. Wow. You are right by the way, this blog is full of ****, and I am really bored with this. A great English comedy is just coming up, I will surely enjoy that. :-) |

how isnt calling someone a skinhead prejudice? that is what you called the guy who "blocked" you from getting off the plane, yes the is prejudice/racism there havent been any abusive comments, just ones that you dont like, no one called you any names or saying anything against you, maybe you should look at the definition of abusive because well i dont see anyone saying anything of the sort and i didnt say dont call people idiots, i said it doesnt look good when you are |

Ok, well let me know how things go with the police. I live in Shropshire, so our local police force is the West Mercia Police. If you are also in the West Mercia region of England you can dial 101 for non emergency reports. If you are outside West Mercia (Worcestershire, Shropshire, Warwickshire) you can dial 0300 333 3000. This is also a free call.
I have been contacted by the Administrator about the tone of my replies. I think you may have a legitimate complaint that a moderator of a website such as this should not adopt such a tone and have written to the administrator stating that I prefer to give up the role of moderator and have the freedom to say what I think. This is what I think. Your original post contained racist generalisations and suggests that you have a wider problem with anger. Your subsequent posts and accusations reinforce that view. You have now had feedback from a number of other posters, who also appear to take a similar view. As I have resigned as a moderator, I feel free now to say what I think. You are Nuts. |

And for your information: I did not apply racist generalisations, it was applied for a certain group of people, which very typically mirrored some racist people from the UK. Trust me, I am not happy to say that, but the truth is truth and it might surprise you, but I even met people from the UK, who have had the same opinion about their own fellow countrymen - now that was really surprising..... But those were the intelligence ones. Nuts or not nuts, idiot or not idiot, but you cannot deny something that everyone else knows. :-) And I am not a racist, and I have never been, I can assure you! I like a mix of people, but I hate those they think they better than anyone else, which is quite typical in the UK unfortunately. I could just punch these in the face, because they are indeed idiots! You should have watched one of the BBC programs, when similar statements were announced about British people. That was funny, but it was not racist, otherwise they would not have broadcasted it. The thing is, some people are open minded, some of them are not. I guess the world round like this, but it does not mean eveyone has to accept everything in it. So why should I? This does not make me a racist, and I would not want to be! And to be honest, I will never understand why you had to play the "volunteer hero"? No-one offended you in particular, you have chosen to take those comments on yourselves, you cannot blame me for that!! :-) |
