Here is information needed to investigate the situation:
Name of Passenger1: A****d Name of Passenger2: F*****n Travel Date: 25 Aug 2012 From: Dammam To: Chicago Booking Refernce: 4*****X E-ticket Number: 6**********4 Mobile no.: RQID:109289 * Situation: In 25 Aug 2012 I was planing to travel from Saudi Arabia to the US using Etihad airlines. In the day of traveling the counter in the airport and his supervisor reject to give me the boarding because my with is pregnant in her week 14. I contacted the Etihad office in both Abudabi and Dammam to have another reservation for me because I was not told I have to bring medical report with me, but there was no response. I changed the ticket myself and went thorough Bahrain airport. The supervisor in the airport told me that since your wife doesn't exceed 20 weeks of pregnancy there is no need for a medical report. I flew to the US from Bahrain in 26 Aug 2012. * Actions Taken: I have sent many mails to Etihad feedback after I arrive to the US, but also there is no response till now. Knowing that my situation almost took a month now and I still wait for a reply from Etihad feedback team even with positive or negative feedback. * Result: Etihad Airways do not care about their customer like most of the other Arabic countries airline and I will never travel with them again. Also, I am going to share my experience to all of my friend who may use Etihad Airlines in the future. Here is my situation (Story): My flight was on 25 Aug 2012 from Dammam to Chicago with a booking reference: 43Q3WX. I have reported to the airport early but the etihad employee refuse to checked me in because my wife is pregnant and I don't have a medical report. I have told the person my wife is only on her 14 week of pregnancy but he did not accept to let me in. Knowing that I have called the office of Etihad before my trip and told them my wife is pregnant and I need to reserve a comfortable seat for her and they fill a request for me without telling me that I need a medical report. Also, Knowing that whent I have reported to Bahrain Airport I told the employee that my wife is pregnant but I don't have a medical report, then he told me that since she dosen't passed the 23 week of pregnancy we do not required a medical report. In the same day I have called Etihad office in Abodabi and report the problem to make them change my trip date to the next date, but they didn't refuse to solve the problem. Then I was forced to change the trip date myself and pay all the fees. Now I am asking Etihad to make me a full refund that I have paid to change my ticket which is not my fault. Also, I am asking the company to pay all the expense I have paid for the hotel and transportation from Dammam to Bahrain to get in the second day flight from Bahrain to Chicago. I am looking forward to your reply Thanks, Ahmed Buhamad |
