I am writing on behalf of a friend who was to arrive in Barbados. A ticket was booked online for him by his employer and the information with reference number was given to him. When he arrived at the ticket counter to collect his ticket the clerk told him she could not have found any booking for him. However, after meeting the manager on duty, it was discovered my friend did indeed have a flight for the said day. It was too late for him to board the flight and he had to return home and will only get a flight 4 days later. The airline responsible for such 'good' service is Liat airlines. They have been known for other screw ups in the past. The reason I don't travel with them anymore. I will advise no one to travel with this airline.

I am not defending this airline, hell, I've never even heard of them. The people make the airline, I understand that. Your friend, who truly should be writing this as you have no current complaint with this airline, initially dealt with one clerk. That clerk made an error. Does your friend then gauge the whole airline on one clerk??
