My wife and I booked tickets on flight AK1268 Colombo to Kuala Lumpur in September last year only to have Air Asia cancel the service in January with a promise of full refund for the fare.

Despite several emails from them stating we will hear from them within a few working days we are still waiting to be paid.

We have tried endless times to ring them we are still on hold!!

This is no way for an international airline to conduct themselves, in fact WE THINK IT AMOUNTS TO THEFT.

It does amount to theft. Write to the airline and tell them you will file a claim in small claims court (if they have such a thing in your jurisdiction) unless you receive payment within 14 days. Also, write to the credit card company and demand the charge be reversed.

Air Asia always changing the flight schedule from the date of orginal flight you booked.

They are giving you several reasons until you decided to rebook the flight or just cancel it.
That happens to me,first i requested for a refund of 1 person roundtrip ticket from clark-hk-clark and said it will only take 30days of the refund.
After a month,i saw the status of my refund to CLOSED. I called the hotline and they said refund was successfully transfered to bank. Of course i checked it to bank but NO statements that they received a refund from Air Asia.
Same thing with my other 2 booking numbers..
It will cost almost Php46,000.00 for my invisible refund.
There is NO transaction records or proof thay they did the transfer to your bank.
