Angry USAIWAYs falsified info in record for elderly parents miss flight and left 6 mins ear

My elderly parents,flew on flight 6246 from SWF to PHL. the flight arrived 9 mins late and my parents were nearly last to deplane. Once they were in terminal they went to the restroom and then straight to the departure gate for 6222 PHL-SBY where they were told they had missed the plane and would have to stay the night in Philadelphia and take plane in in the morning. When I contacted customer service they said my parents had stopped to eat and that was why they missed the flight. My parents are elderly but understood there was not a lot of time between the 2 flights. Did I mention they are elderly? they did need to use the restroom but they did not need to eat! USAIRWAYS left the gate 6 minutes early and arrived in SBY 10 minutes early, inconvenienced two elderly people and then lied in the record and claimed they stopped to eat.

The time at which the plane left the gate, or for that matter whether your parents were visiting the restroom/eating/ or if the connecting flight arrived late... is irrelevant.

What is important is the scheduled departure time! If your parents were at the departure gate at least 20 minutes prior to this time, they cannot deny boarding. If this happened, you should follow up with the relevant authorities.

Default US Airways Customer Service

I am disabled and was sitting in the red handicapped chair well in advance of my departure time. I was sitting directly across from the desk at the gate. They totally ignored me and starting boarding the plane..I went to the desk and then they decided to check the paperwork I had which contained all the necessary information.
They decided all their questions, ect. would require me to miss my flight.

They sent me to customer service where the rude woman told me I'd have to come back tomorrow. I told her the airline made me miss the flight and I had an appointment the following day at my destination. I had to get there that night.

She finally rescheduled a flight and the gave me $10.00 of food comps for my troubles. I hadn't planned on eating at the airport and $10.00 certainly doesn't buy a meal. TERRIBLE and APPALLING treatment at US AIR.
