Left at Sea-Tac airport terminal
April 4 flight 185 to houston, Continental locked the door to the plane 30 minutes before the flight was scheduled to depart and there was no agent at the terminal to answer questions or unlock the door for us to board. At the scheduled flight departure time we saw the plane depart without us. Continental is refusing compensation for the flight we had to take to make our connection in houston. 1800 WE CARE cited that 15 minutes before departure no one was there to get on the plane so they took off. Well both my companion and i were there. The agent in seattle said they are not to lock the door to the plane until 10 minutes before departure. Well on this flight it was shut 30 MINUTES in advance and there was no one there at the gate to inquire about getting on the flight. So the 1800 WE CARE person said it was MY FAULT for not taking it up with the non existent agent at the gate. How can this be fair???even the people at main ticket counter at sea-tac admitted the gate protocol was not followed...what to do???Continental dropped the ball and they dont want to admit it...i am so frustrated
