Default International Flights

First leg: Atlanta to Gatwick
No personal video screen (huge disappointment)
On takeoff, no one visually checked to see if our seatbelts were fastened and seats were upright or if carryon's were stored safely.
No headphones no blanket.
Crew was not friendly.

Second leg: Schipol to Atlanta
No personal video screen (still a huge disappointment, 9 hours flight)
We were told we would see movie "A" and then that they would not be showing movie "A" and instead see movie "B". Then movie "A" came on and we never saw movie "B". LOL
Plane was messy upon boarding.
My daughter had a "bloody kleenex" in the pocket of the magazine holder.
Her seat also smelled of vomit. When she told the steward that she was unhappy about the bloody kleenex, the vomit smell and a "used" blanket, he told her: "Sorry about the Kleenex. I don't smell the vomit and we don't always place our blankets in cellophane."
Crew bordered on unfriendly to hostile.

I won't complain about food service because it's lousy across the board!

Will NEVER fly Delta again. Usually travel overseas twice a year. Will pay extra to fly another airline.[/b]

How can you complain about something that Delta doesn't offer on those flights. You want personal video, then bring a DVD player or fly on Virgin.

Dragonfire6:
Why is your message always so rude and offensive? Afterall, the passengers pay your salary. Delta can fire you but can't do anything if the passengers choose to fly other airlines.

i am going to somewhat agree with dragonfire6. at least delta shows movies. i flew on korean air and they only showed movies in their language....all the way to Bangkok Thailand...21 hours!!! bring a book or a personal dvd player just in case. food service, at least there are meals...remember its not a 5 star restaurant.

Corbel, I am a little curious to know how many US airlines flying to Korea or Thailand show movies in Korean or Thai? Let me hazard a guess... er... almost certainly zero.

all im saying is that portable DVD players are pretty inexpensive these days, so are books. i usually look at the airlines website and find out what movies they are playing on the flight, that way i know to bring a book or something else. i cant even say how many times i have seen iron man on the plane for the airline i work for then have to fly to budapest for work and get to sit through it again

Mr. Corbel:
People who fly to international destinations expect certain "amenities." Fresh pillows, blankets, food, headsets, clean seat storage pouch etc, are some of them. Items, such as personal video screen, perhaps not important in your view, could alter customer perception of the airline and could cost the airline valuable customer base.
When I flew Delta from Shanghai to Atlanta, contrary to advertisement of a full reclining seat in business class, Delta provided a generic business class seat. Next time, I chose a competitor airline that provided such a feature.

i dont blame you. believe me. when i fly international on a carrier for work, i expect all that too...fresh pillows (believe old used ones are gross), blankets etc. and i think the personal video screen is great perk. you're right to some people the video thing isn't a big deal to some. im just saying that before i book a ticket i usually look at the airlines website at the description of their fleet. i booked at a higher price on united for the use of the personal tv over a different carrier. there is this website....seatguru.com that will really help you pick out a good seat and tells you about the aircraft your going to fly on...great travel tool if video screens, seat selection is important

I have got to defend Korean Air. They are great. The attendants are unfailingly polite, the food is good, planes clean and the movies are in English.
Going to Seoul you don't have many options. Northwest is one of them and they.... Well I am new to the web site and I don't want to lose my privileges.
