Severe Suitcase Damage - Insufficient Compensation
My wife's full-size suitcase sustained severe damage during a flight from Hartford to Myrtle Beach. All four wheels were broken off, and there are cracks and gouges on both sides of the luggage. The suitcase, which cost $199 and had only been used three times prior to this trip, was rendered unusable. Spirit Airlines offered only $75 as compensation, which we find to be entirely inadequate. We are very disappointed with Spirit Airlines management for allowing this damage to occur and for the inadequate resolution offered.
